What a crazy month!
this blog is a synopsis of my last month. it may be out of order, but that's how it is since it takes me FOR-EVER to upload pics and move them around. So the main topics that we cover are: Our trip to albequerque and our favorite new mexican family, Justin's first day of soccer, and other fun pics here and there. before i show you how cute my son is i have to tell you a naughty story. I have been sick this past weekend and pretty much a vegetable. I have stayed in my room asleep or lying down and gary has played the single parent (love him so much he is so good when i'm sick...i tend to guilt and get mad and he just smiles and locks the door so the kids can't bug me...so sweet!) anyway the story of justin..... he is quoted as saying to Gary "Dad can i get sick so i can sit on my butt (yes he used that word) and watch TV all day?".......A little too close to home. i am glad that i am feeling better now. :)

This is my man on his first day of soccer!!! Gary was such a good coach. he brought a little buffalo to tie to the goal post so the kids knew which one to aim for, he had all this patience i couldn't believe. Great job dad!!!I'm pretty sure he even lead them to victory....if we kept score which we don't so I'm not so sure. :)

grandma and grandpa sent a new bedspread to justin....he was VERY excited about the package addressed to him and for how cool it was once he opened it. thank you!!!

So when we got home from Albequerque i found out how Gary was keeping the house clean...he turned Linds into Cinderella!!!

Albequerque Old Town

Natural History museum, we LOVED the dinosaurs!

My sweet sweet niece

We wanted Dad to know we were thinking of him so we found the gas line and posed by it. :)

In Old Town we found this shop and justin didn't want to go in until i told him what kind of store it was. he was thrilled that santa was closer to coming to his house. :)

The T-Rex is going to eat these children!!!

We got to visit with Janetta, it was way fun. It was even better for justin to go to her house and play the Wii. Crossbow hunting is now very exciting to my four year old...hmmmm. :)

Look at these cousins all cleaned up. :)

All of us at the pool....it was FREEZING!!!!!

At the ZOO...we were a little nervous at first because we took a train ride that covered only the construction areas and the backs of ALL the buildings. But after we started walking around we saw some great stuff. the one thing i loved most was the LION!! it rocked. Justin heckled it and asked 'why won't the lion roar mom???? ROAR!!!!!!!!" It sat up and looked at us...i made us leave the area.

Check out the blue mouth on my son. All the kids got ring pops from grandma.

this is at the FRONTIER it was the coolest breakfast spot and i LOVE huevos rancheros with stewed green chili's. mmmmmm... and the orange juice....mmmmmmm. it was a very cultural experience. i loved albequerque more for it!

We got to go to the ward party. Red and Green potluck. I tasted the hottest food of my life this night....and it is where my stomach troubles started for the week. :)

This is on the plane going there. he was so excited he didn't even want to play with anything i brought he just grabbed my arm and squeeled or yellled at his cousins. he had a BlAST!
The turbulance was so bad on the way home that all the boys started yelling "awesome" or "NOT awesome!" and squeeling "we're gonna die!!" and throwing their hands in the air like they were on a roller coaster....pretty sure we put some people into heart failure.

My first attempt at Lindsy's 2 year old pictures. It was a little sunny for her so i am going to try early in the morning next time, maybe she will be able to look up more. it was an adventure to get here, we had to jump the ditch ...i'm such a farmer! ha hah ! She was a trooper though. I am learning that my kids will do almost anything for a tootsie roll or a sucker, LOVE IT!!

Anne-a-thon

So saturday was the best day i've had in a while. Anne of Green Gables was on PBS. I spent about four hours (sadly not the whole thing) watching while my whole family slept. I pretended to fold laundry for a while, but even gary called me on that and just told me to stop i was making a mess. :) ah ahh a! it was a selfish afternoon and i thoroughly enjoyed it!

It has been a while so let's catch up on the family...

Lindsy was put into a baby contest...it's a little different from the pagent baby tv show where we were telling her to put on her model face and "look like you the only one who matters in the world" i swear we didn't do that...perhaps that is why we didn't make it on to the float for the 4th of july. she was definately the cutest baby at the contest and she won in our opinion. she got the "best eyelashes" prize. When they were announcing who was going to win justin yelled out "I hope you win Lindsy!!" what a great supporter of his sister. :)
I think she looks like her daddy in this picture....it's the farmers tan i think.

Later that night we went to the high school and watched the fireworks. justin wasn't so sure about it but in the end he LOVED it and kept telling me that he wanted to live there, he wanted to come back once a week, if it weren't for the lack of bathrooms he would have wanted to do it.

It's party time!!! LIndsy turned 2!!!! We had a couple parties as usual and she had a fabulous time every time. She loved every present she got, every bite of cake she was able to get her hands on, and every person who came she was so excited about. thank you to everyone who made it such a wonderful time for her. Grandma and Grandpa gave her one of her most favorite presents....light up flip flops

She evens sleeps in them each night.
cousins, summertime, ice cream....can't get better.

this is my attempt at creative cake decor. i worked from 8:00 to 11:45pm (dumb i know to start late) and I was FRUSTRATED...but i like how it turned out so all is well.

Lindsy wouldn't hold still at all during her party so this is the best shot i got of her as she is running from toy to toy (and not sharing at all might i add, she had a very hard time about that).

This is her new swimsuit, she puts in on everytime she sees that mom forgot to put it away.

Fathers Day!! We got together with cousins again and we had such a great time! Love the hot dog roasts! I am so proud to have Gary in my family. He is a wonderful dad and such a caring husband. I find myself still wishing we could quit our jobs and just hang out all day long with each other and the kids.....I am glad that I love my husband he's pretty cool.
This is a picture of linds with an ENORMOUS marshmallow in her hand, it's like the size of an APPLE!!! she loved it!
They all loved those mallowsGuess who is starting to play ball again??? it was opening night and we had a BLAST!!! snow cones, nachos, oggie, a new hat for Justin, and cousins....oh don't forget the fireworks! Gary was poppin' the tums after this evening...not 20 years old anymore are you sweetie?

Our family photo at the ball park.

In my spare time....i'm a den leader. we went to the fire station and justin had a blast since we biked it and he did it on his 'one wheeler'. :)

Usually there are mosquitoes everyehwere but tonight was great, we sat on the deck and ate puddin' pops and talked about the day. It is getting better and better everyday as my kids get older and we get to know each other more and more, i love it!!
